In a new and evolving digital financial services ecosystem, many players traditionally think of Mastercard as a credit card provider. In line with its business objectives, Mastercard needed to position itself as the technology provider of choice, connecting telcos, e-tailers and fintechs to their consumers, by providing the technology that enables a superior digital experience, driving greater financial inclusion for communities across the region.

‘Collaborate to Innovate’ was a fully integrated communications-led campaign, in which Mastercard, working with Weber Shandwick MENAT, reset the criteria for the role that communications can and should play in driving measurable commercial business-to-business conversations.

At the centerstage was an ambitious digital-first event without any of the Zoom fatigue – a unique and immersive online experience, with the main event filmed and edited at CNBC studio. In addition, strategic amplification of major digital partnership initiatives, highlighted real-life examples of how Mastercard works with non-traditional partners.
