About the Campaign: Arabian Leopard

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and Burson orchestrated an exceptional government communications and public affairs campaign. Their mission: secure UN recognition for the International Day of the Arabian Leopard, spotlighting this Critically Endangered species and Saudi Arabia’s conservation endeavors. The strategy, rooted in research, encompassed diverse aspects like advocacy, environmental goals alignment, national pride, regional collaboration, and global engagement. Results were extraordinary with a 95% media coverage increase, reaching 7.8 billion and generating $44.8 million in advertising value. UN approval arrived six months ahead of schedule on June 12, 2023, marking a historic moment in conservation and public affairs.
