Hend Al Otaiba joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MoFA) in April 2017 as Advisor to the Foreign Affairs Minister for Media Affairs.

Al Otaiba is a public relations specialist with experience in strategic communications, crisis management and media relations.  At her current capacity in Mofa, Al Otaiba oversees the communications stategy of the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the ministry and its missions abroad.

Previously, Al Otaiba served as Director of Communications at Abu Dhabi Media, where she was responsible for the corporate and commercial engagement strategies of 27 renowned media brands, in addition to developing and supervising the company’s s corporate communications and public affairs functions. Al Otaiba led the executive positioning program for the company’s leadership and is credited with driving important collaborative and cross-promotional initiatives with government departments in realization of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
Al Otaiba also managed the communications for the cultural program at the Tourism & Culture Authority.  Here, she played an instrumental role in promoting Abu Dhabi’s cultural institutions and positioning the Emirate as a world-class cultural hub.
