Lavanya Mandal is a communications professional with over 15 years of experience in leading global reputation management programs for MNCs across the Middle East, India and global markets. Specializing in the healthcare sector, Lavanya possesses in-depth experience in developing comprehensive internal and external communication programs for companies spanning FMCG, healthcare, finance, corporate, entertainment, and non-profit industries. Her portfolio boasts multiple award-winning campaigns, recognized for excellence in PR and marketing communications. Her work in healthcare has been recognised at MEPRA Awards for 5 years in a row.

Currently serving as the General Manager – Head of PR and Internal Communications at Aster DM Healthcare, Lavanya leads the global reputation program across multiple markets, driving external and internal communications, leadership outreach, and strategic business marketing communications. She played a pivotal role in securing the organization’s significant share of voice in the GCC and India.

Lavanya’s achievements include spearheading the global communications and public affairs program for the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award, receiving widespread recognition and coverage from renowned global media outlets like BBC and CNN. She also successfully led Aster DM Healthcare’s participation in Expo2020 in Dubai.

She successfully set-up the internal communications function at Aster, catering to 30,000+ employees across seven countries. Additionally, Lavanya has been instrumental in leading the communications initiatives for the global CSR project, Aster Volunteers, and has driven a successful Covid-19 communication program, receiving accolades and high engagement.

Previously, as an Associate Account Director at Memac Ogilvy Public Relations, Lavanya played a key role in the development and execution of communication strategies for several major healthcare clients, including Roche, Bristol Myers Squib, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk and Sanofi. Prior to joining Memac Ogilvy, she was leading the Corporate Communication programme for Abbott Healthcare in India. She started her career in Corporate PR with Edelman in India driving the communication mandate for companies like Kraft Foods, KKR, NSR, Suzlon and CNN International.
