Benjamin Schroeder serves as the Chief Communications Ocer at Al-Futtaim, leveraging extensive experience in strategic communication to enhance brand strength and steer the company through a phase of global growth and
transformation.

Ben’s approach is deeply rooted in aligning the communications function with the company’s strategy for long-term growth, sustainability, and digital transformation, while also focusing on people and community engagement.

With over two decades in marketing and communications, Ben’s tenure in the industry is marked by his commitment to talent development and building teams that are both high-performing and innovative. He places a strong emphasis on
empowering individuals and teams to foster environments where creativity and collaboration are encouraged.

Through a global career spanning Germany, China, the USA, and the UAE, Ben has developed a unique understanding of diverse business environments and cultural nuances. This experience was invaluable in his previous role at M42,
where he led the development of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. His eorts wereinstrumental in establishing the inaugural Health partnership at COP28, demonstrating his ability to eectively
integrate strategic communication with sustainable development goals.

Prior to his current position, Ben held the title of Vice President, Global Regional Communications at Siemens Energy in Abu Dhabi. His tenure at Siemens, beginning in 2002, saw him progress through various leadership roles in dierent
regions. His signicant contribution to Siemens Energy’s communication strategy post-2020 spin-o exemplies his skills in corporate communication and change management.

As a Board Member of the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA), he brings his diverse and extensive experience to help shape the future of the communications industry.
