Brendan provides strategic counsel and project leadership on all facets of integrated communications, with an emphasis on corporate reputation management, crisis and risk communications, stakeholder relations, B2B, and public affairs.

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and working throughout the region, Brendan’s 28+ years experience in corporate communications & public affairs, community building, employee engagement, and online issues and reputation management covers a variety of sectors including energy, financial, health, aerospace, technology, public and third sector.

His extensive experience in corporate and digital communications encompasses strategic planning and key messaging, content strategy, executive-level writing and editing, crisis preparedness & training, communications & stakeholder audits, social media activation, and reputation protection & recovery. During his career, he has advised the likes of the European Central Bank, Equinor, Ford, Johnson & Johnson, Teekay, Microsoft, HP, Intel, and the Government of Canada.

Over his six years in Saudi Arabia, Brendan has advised and supported many Saudi and GCC energy and industrial clients in preparing for, and managing reputational and operational threats, including ACWA Power, ADNOC, NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, Saudi Airlines and others. He has guided the development of crisis capabilities for the likes of the Saudi National Development Fund, King Abdullah Financial District, The Royal Commission for Riyadh City, the Royal Commission of AlUla, the Ministry of Economy and Planning, MISK, and the high-level Saudi delegation to the World Economic Forum where he provided media coaching to many senior ministers.

In addition to his current focus on the Middle East, Brendan has held senior roles in Europe (Brussels), the United States and Canada, including Senior Vice President, Digital Public Affairs in Washington D.C. and National Digital Practice Director with H+K Canada. He now splits his time between London and Riyadh.

Brendan also facilitates in-person and remote training seminars designed to help c-suite executives and government ministers, senior managers, and communications teams better understand the risks and opportunities presented by today’s increasingly complex communications landscape.
