2020 MEPRA Election


Our fearless leaders, MEPRA Chair Jonty Summers and MEPRA Vice Chair Lisa Welsh, will complete their tenures this December after a stellar effort leading us through MEPRA’s most successful year (2019) and MEPRA’s most challenging year (2020!). We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jonty and Lisa for all their hard work and commitment to MEPRA, its members and the industry.

With their tenure complete,  we are looking for new passionate leaders who are committed to driving forward key initiatives for the industry, focused on promoting standards of excellence, sharing knowledge and building the capabilities of communication professionals in the region.

All nominees must have stood as a MEPRA Executive or Strategy Board Member for a minimum of 12 months by the time of election (December 2020).

The Chair and Vice Chair will lead the MEPRA Executive and Strategy Boards and will work closely with MEPRA staff to implement initiatives from 2021-2023. By committing yourself as a MEPRA Chair or Vice Chair, you will be working towards an industry collective goal to:

Raise awareness and build understanding of public relations in the Middle East, both as a profession and as a driver of organisational reputation. We do so by promoting industry standards, sharing knowledge and thought leadership and building the capabilities of professionals in region. 


MEPRA Exective Board Member, Kate Midttun will serve as the Election Commissioner to ensure a fair and impartial election. The Election Commissioner will review all election processes and assist the MEPRA Secretariat in reviewing nominations, voting systems as well as notifications and announcements.
