In October 2019, IKEA announced that it would be opening its first store in Oman Avenue™ Mall, to reach more of the many more people within the region and bring our full services closer.

As IKEA opened doors to the first store in Oman, not only did we want to be a one stop shop for all home furnishing requirements but also wanted to position ourselves as a shopping destination for all ages. We developed a robust PR plan to keep the momentum and excitement levels of the new store opening at all-time high. Through a staggered communications approach we complied a robust editorial calendar to keep momentum and maintain excitement of the new store opening. We leveraged the opening at all stages, to create a holistic story that emphasized Al-Futtaim IKEA’s contribution to Oman across many levels.
