The Google Cook-Off

To create the Google Cook-Off, Weber Shandwick MENAT partnered with a YouTube Creator and food personality to host the episode, and renowned Chefs from across the MENA region to be jury members. They had to assess the end products of three contestants based on: presentation, adherence to the recipe, and how often they used Google Search.

The contestants were popular social media personalities, with limited cooking experience. Each received a “mystery” box with ingredients. They had to find a recipe on Google Search by inputting the ingredients into Search, which would then yield a recipe for them to follow, just like anyone can rely on Google Search to turn available ingredients at home into a yummy dish!

The episode secured more than 12M views on YouTube, and over 900K views on Instagram, showing the impactful role Google Search plays in our daily lives in a fun, simple and engaging way.
