Rory Sutherland, who is often labelled as marketing and advertising’s most original thinkers and influential speakers, will headline REMAP 2020 to deliver a talk on ‘why it’s time to hype up marketing’. The Ogilvy UK Vice Chairman, Creative Director, Behavioural Science lead + author will argue how many of today’s problems, which are currently treated as problems of economic efficiency, are really marketing problems in disguise.
Another keynote will be delivered by Geometry’s Global Chief Innovation Officer, Roy Armale. Described as a ‘brilliant mind’ by his global CEO, Roy has been credited with bringing new and disruptive platforms to the WPP creative commerce agency. His talk will focus on disrupting commerce through technology and how we use technology to understand and connect with people as they decide on when and what to buy.
We will also be bringing ‘A Touch of Reality’ to REMAP with VR and AR agency, Arishi and its Managing Director Andrew Elia. Andrew developed some of Europe’s first augmented reality experiences in 2008, which wowed audiences at MipTV and became part of Ogilvy’s Digital Innovation Lab. Combining an unholy mix of enthusiasm, experience, humour and cynicism, Andrew has written for magazines, spoken at conferences on augmented reality, mobile payments and the dysfunctional union between creative, technology and business. Andrew started Arishi, at the age of twenty-six and has delivered ground-breaking technology in augmented reality, online video, audio streaming and artificial intelligence that others couldn’t, wouldn’t (or just plain didn’t) develop, often years ahead of the competition.
