DEEMA KINGSMILL-MOORE
Deema is a senior communications professional with more than 18 years’ experience working in Jordan, Egypt and the UAE, in both agency and in-house roles. Today, Deema is the Communications and Community Engagement Director at Marriott International for the Middle East and Africa region, responsible for leading the Brand Marketing and Sales internal communications, building awareness and increasing exposure for the continent and brands within the digital space, as well as defining and developing regional CSR strategies.
JANEY LAWSON
Janey is the founding co-director of Reactive Roleplay in the UK. A qualified psychotherapist and communication expert, Janey has delivered a range of impactful sessions across the UK for her clients and the CIPR. Janey has an English degree from the University of Nottingham and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama before undertaking her PG Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. A professional playwright, Janey incorporates imaginative, creative thinking into her training approach.
JENNIFER BELL
Jennifer is a British-trained, award-winning international correspondent trained to the highest level in the UK. She has ten years’ industry experience and is a former senior journalist and a senior national editor for The National newspaper. Jennifer, who is now a freelance journalist, contributes to many top tier titles across the region including, Gulf News, Arab Weekly, Arabian Business, The Business Voice, Life 360, Middle East Health, Business Benchmark and commissions for UK titles such as special reports for The Telegraph. She also compiles editorials for WorldSkills Abu Dhabi and WorldsSkills International, Dubai Cares and United Arab Emirates University.
JOHN WHYTE-VENABLES MCIPR
John specialises in showing people how to make professional looking video for the web using mobile devices and currently leads CIPR’s multimedia skills training.
John’s background is in BBC radio, television and online news, where he worked as a reporter, specialist correspondent and trainer. He set up and ran the BBC’s first international local radio school, in Bucharest, Romania. He also has over 30 years’ experience as media interview trainer for a wide range of blue-chip clients.
DR JON WHITE CHART.PR, FCIPR
Jon is a consultant in management and organisation development, public affairs, public relations and corporate communications management. He has worked in public and private sector organisations in Europe, the United States, South Africa, Australia, and Canada. Clients have included Shell, Motorola, British Airways, National Express and AEA Technology, as well as governments in the UK, Canada, Norway and Macedonia.
A chartered psychologist with a doctorate in psychology, he is involved in university programmes aimed at building knowledge of public relations and communication management.
NICOLE MALICK
Nicole is an international social worker with more than eleven years of international experience leading programs that address corporate sustainability, gender equality, peace building, and human trafficking across Middle East, Asia, and East Africa. Through her current role as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at NRS International, she serves as a Steering Committee Member for UAE UN Global Compact and is a Steering Committee Member for the Roll Back Malaria’s Strategic Communications Partner Committee. Malick is a recipient of two USAID Meritorious Honors Awards, a U.S. Department of State Meritorious Group Award, and received a service medal from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
PAUL NOBLE CHART.PR, FCIPR
Paul Noble is an independent public relations trainer, consultant, academic, mentor and facilitator. He is an e-learning specialist, and provides management support to growing PR consultancies, as well as mentoring young professionals. He has more than 30 years’ experience in senior consultancy, in-house and academic environments. A published author on PR evaluation, Paul is also chief examiner of the CIPR’s Advanced Certificate and one of the examiners of the CIPR Diploma.
STUART BRUCE FCIPR
Stuart has almost 25 years’ experience in PR, corporate communications and public affairs. He founded a specialist online PR consultancy and in less than four years grew it into a PRWeek Top 150 Consultancy and Top 30 Digital Consultancy. Clients included Unilever, Sony Mobile, HSBC, Carlsberg, First Direct, PayPal, Discovery Channel and GlaxoSmithKline. Today he provides online PR and digital corporate communications training and consultancy to clients in the UK, Europe and Middle East including the European Parliament, EU agencies, Middle Eastern governments.
