Benjamin Schroeder (41) heads Communications at Siemens in the Middle East and CIS regions, since May 1, 2017. Prior to that, from December 2015, he looked after 15 countries in the Middle East.

His career with Siemens spans 15 years, working across different business divisions and across continents, from the Americas to Europe and Asia. In his current role, Schroeder is responsible for major growth hubs such as Egypt, the UAE, Qatar and Russia.
Before taking on this position, Schroeder was the Head of Communication Services at Siemens in Munich, where he led a team of about 100 people across Germany, China, the US and the Middle East.

Since joining the company in 2002, he held several other positions, including Regional Manager of the Automation and Drives Division at Siemens for Canada, Mexico and Central America. During his time in Beijing, China, Schroeder was responsible for business development, marketing and strategy for Drives Technology, part of the company’s Industry Sector at the time. After that, he moved to head marketing and communications for the entire Industry Sector across North East Asia, headquartered in Beijing.

Schroeder graduated in 2002 from the International Management School Bad Malente in Germany with a diploma in International Economics.
Besides work, he enjoys sports and traveling.
