Swissquote hadn’t proactively done PR in the region and needed to reach a target audience of investors without using any press releases, live interviews nor media events. Our strategy was to establish thought leadership by drafting investment op-eds on creative and unique topics like lumber, green hydrogen, meat alternatives, coffee, the space economy, etc and pitch them exclusively to Tier A media, while always being available for fast-track commentary on current affairs. This worked so well that we secured 35 different exclusive op-eds and commentaries, with a 100% A-list hit rate in everything from Arabian Business, The National and Arab News to Al Bayan and Emarat Al Yawm, successfully making spokesperson Chaddy Kirbaj, the go-to person for investment commentary among A-list media. Swissquote had its biggest ever year in the region and attributed part of the success to the comms output.
