UFC Fight Island ‘Triple Header’ marked the return of fans to live events in Abu Dhabi for the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, demonstrating Abu Dhabi’s capability to host major events safely. The weeklong spectacle featured two UFC Fight Nights and UFC 257, with fan favourite Conor McGregor in a rematch with Dustin Poirier. More than15,000 fans enjoyed the three events at the newly opened Etihad Arena, inside a carefully created spectator bubble. The event was covered by media in 99 countries.
