HIMA Protected Areas Forum – National Center for Wildlife
National Center for Wildlife (NCW)
The HIMA Protected Areas Forum, organized by the National Center for Wildlife, was the first of its kind in the region, dedicated to the conservation and preservation of natural habitats. Held in Riyadh from April 21-24, the forum was a groundbreaking event that aligned with Saudi Arabia’s 30×30 initiative, aiming to protect 30% of its land and marine areas by 2030. The forum featured a series of panel discussions and presentations by global and regional experts, and it showcased innovative approaches, including interpretive performances and cutting-edge technologies like kinetic screens and high-tech projections. The hero film of the event was shot using the Canon CINE-SERVO 50-1000mm lens, marking its first use in a promotional film. This event not only underscored Saudi Arabia’s leadership in environmental sustainability but also set a new standard for how such initiatives are communicated and celebrated.
