“Your career can be anything you want it to be – just always be part of, and known as, the top one percent in everything you do.” Ali Issa, 1954 – 2021.<br />Today, this phrase resonates as much as it did when I was a girl chasing academic success while struggling with dyslexia. After nearly two decades with Burson – formerly Hill & Knowlton – I still strive to demonstrate what it means to be part of the top one percent. Above all, my goal is to help others to come to the same realisation I did – that we can all become part of the top one percent. What it takes is sheer determination – to hone our talents, channel our passions, learn from mistakes, and keep going through good times and bad.
