Reel Palestine returned to Cinema Akil for its landmark 10th edition, celebrating a decade of impactful storytelling. Hosted by the UAE’s only independent cinema founded by an Emirati woman, the festival showcased a diverse lineup of 12 feature films, documentaries, and shorts across 24 screenings. Presented by Bayt and supported by Bristol and Advanced Media, the festival’s visual identity drew inspiration from the Gaza City shield, symbolizing renewal and resilience. Highlights included masterclasses, workshops, and an annual souk featuring 36 vendors, creating a vibrant community hub. With a record number of attendees and prominent directors like Farah Nabulsi, Mohanad Yaqubi, and Carol Mansour, the festival offered a deeply unifying cultural experience, reinforcing its role in celebrating Palestinian cinema and culture.
