Bahrain International Airport (BIA), managed by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), launched the ”We See You” initiative to aid individuals with hidden disabilities. The initiative adopted the globally recognized Hidden Disabilities Sunflower system, a discreet symbol signaling the need for additional assistance, making Bahrain International Airport the second airport in the Middle East to implement such an initiative. <br /><br />Bahrain International Airport collaborated with key health authorities, including the Supreme Council of Health and the Ministry of Health, reinforcing the initiative’s credibility. Comprehensive training was provided to airport staff, while digital platforms and traditional advertising methods were used to educate the public about the initiative. <br /><br />The ”We See You” campaign significantly increased awareness and empathy towards individuals with hidden disabilities, enhancing travel accessibility. The campaign’s success also led to earning the ACI Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation (Level 1), recognizing its promotion of inclusivity and understanding.
