Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) launched the ‘Hiwaraat’ conference series, drawing global leaders to the Middle East to discuss vital regional issues such as the Invasion of Iraq, Islamophobia and gender in foreign policy. The importance of this initiative was recognised by former presidents, diplomats, experts, and journalists, who travelled from far and wide to exchange insights, including H.E. Barham Salih, Former President of Iraq.<br /><br />The conference series not only provided a platform for discussions, but solidified GU-Q’s position as a hub of intellectual exchange and a leader of foreign service education worldwide. With six conferences taking place in Qatar across eight months, the need for sharp and strategic media outreach was essential to prevent oversaturation and media fatigue.
