The Innovate for Tomorrow Challenge is a global innovation challenge by Dubai Holding to tackle sustainability challenges in the UAE in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12). The challenge provided a platform for scale-ups to showcase innovative solutions to secure funding, business opportunities and growth. The challenge, implemented in collaboration with the in5 business incubator, underscored Dubai Holding’s commitment to champion innovation and drive sustainable development. A strategic, omnichannel, multi-market campaign and multi-phased communications strategy secured over 150 applications from 31 countries, 735 pieces of coverage in top-tier broadcast and digital platforms, an above-average 6.8% engagement rate on social and more than 12,700 organic site visits. The winning scale-up received AED50,000 in funding and is implementing a pilot programme at Dubai Holding and working with the Group to construct a multipurpose sustainability hub for the public to raise awareness on sustainability.
