Merex Investment’s Upcycled Art for Good Initiative by HAVAS Red

Dubai’s sustainable development strategy is focused on reducing its carbon footprint, increasing energy efficiency, and promoting renewable resources. Initiatives like the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which aims for 75% of the city’s energy to come from clean sources by 2050, exemplify this commitment. Dubai’s pledge to a green future at COP28 further underscored its environmental goals. <br />Merex Investment supports these ambitions by implementing efficient practices across its destinations while also fostering awareness and inspiring youth-driven innovation to protect the planet.<br />To extend this to the community Merex partnered with a sustainability artist to mentor young champions from six Dubai schools. Over 110 students were guided to create thought-provoking installations using 250kg of recycled materials, addressing four UN Sustainable Development Goals. These installations were displayed at City Walk and The Beach, JBR, to inspire public dialogue and action.
