Ramadan in 2020 was a different time altogether. A month that would typically see brisk consumer activity, as people gave a facelift to their homes in anticipation of Eid, witnessed muted activity at retail stores. In 2021, with the weight of the pandemic lifting and more people returning to stores, providing them affordable but stylish home furnishings was the best gift Home Centre could give to customers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Home Centre’s collaboration with interior design Farah Merhi led to the introduction of the ‘Inspire Me’ home décor collection across the UAE and KSA markets. What was needed then was a compelling integrated campaign – leveraging traditional media relations and amplifying it on social – to drive both retail footfall and online sales: A campaign to celebrate ‘Ramadan is Better Together.’
