Place Communications

Place Communications worked with Special Olympics UAE to create a virtual robotics competition experience and maximize school participation amidst disrupted education and online distance learning due to COVID-19, through a mix of direct stakeholder engagement, strategic outreach and publicity. By creating more reasons for participation, Place delivered an attractive virtual experience to mainstream students and People of Determination with intellectual disabilities, encouraged the involvement of teachers, parents and staff and created a standout campaign, at a time saturated with online education stories. Place Communications successfully engaged 375 students across the UAE, generated approximately AED 1 million in media coverage, increased participation by 300% since the launch of the program in 2019 and grew social engagement by 500%.
