Reporting to: Group Account Director / Managing Director

Job Purpose: To lead a dedicated PR team’s performance and development, overseeing the Team’s day to day to day management of clients’ portfolios thus ensuring successful results and delivery of agreed activities across markets and profitability of accounts. To effectively grow portfolio of clients in line with agency objectives and to be a positive agency advocate.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Client Management and Strategy
  • Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships at a senior level
  • Ensuring client retention levels are optimized
  • Researching, developing, designing, implementing and directing a wide range of communications activities
  • Developing, maintaining and fostering team market intelligence on accounts
  • Providing strategic insights and counseling clients across the region
  1. Team Management
  • Motivating, training and developing the PR team through day to day training and counsel, ensuring team performance
  • Responsible for the development of team skills through identifying relevant training opportunities
  • Managing team resources efficiently and responsible for the overall health check of the division (motivation, capability etc.)
  • Fostering the development of the team’s digital and social media awareness
  • Editorial review management of team’s developed content
  • Ensuring good team attendance and punctuality plus responsible for team retention
  • Ensuring team members are submitting times sheets accurately and on time
  1. Business Development
  • Identifying and acting on new business opportunities
  • Responsible for developing, and overseeing the development of, and presentation of new business communications strategies and presentations
  • Responsible for both organic growth of client portfolio as well as identification of opportunities for cross practice business growth (other PR teams, Events, Digital)
  • Networking and ensuring good contacts beyond media and clients
  • Developing DABO & CO products to be marketed to existing and prospective clients
  • Contributing to DABO & CO’s digital marketing
  1. Commercial Judgment
  • Budgeting programs and managing financial aspects of the client relationship, assuming full P&L responsibility for divisional performance
  • Monitoring levels of over servicing and advising on due course of action to rectify this
  • Responsible for clients billing, activity reports and other client administrative duties
  1. Regional
  • Gaining comprehensive understanding of Gulf marketplace trends with ability to counsel clients effectively when needed
  • Developing Gulf market specific tactics to achieve client objectives

Candidate Profile

Education/ Qualification

  • Bachelor degree

Experience

  • 6 years minimum experience within a Public Relations or Integrated Media agency
  • Team management experience
  • Financial experience on managing accounts (budgets/ costing)
  • Proven records of complete client servicing management
  • Track record of business development success
  • Skilled in quality control management
