Taryam Al Subaihi, Head of Corporate Communications at Emirates Water and Electricity Company.
Taryam Alsubaihi serves as the Head of Corporate Communications at EWEC (Emirates Water and Electricity Company), following his appointment in 2019. He leads a diverse team of professionals responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s branding, marketing, and communications.
Prior to joining EWEC, Alsubaihi served as the Director of Corporate Communications at TAQA – Iraq, as well as Global Head of External Communications for TAQA, during which he managed all external communications for the company’s businesses in the UAE and globally.
Alsubaihi joined TAQA in 2012 from Masdar, where he managed the External Communications department. Before joining Masdar, he managed the Corporate Communications department at Etihad Airways, responsible for the UAE and Indian Subcontinent. Alsubaihi began his career as a journalist, working as a writer and columnist for some of UAE’s top English language newspapers including Gulf News, Emirates Today and The National.
A UAE National, Alsubaihi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Print Media – Communications from the American University of Sharjah in the UAE. He also has a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication from Zayed University. Alongside his career, he is also in the process of getting his PhD from Lancaster University in the UK.
