About the Campaign: Driving Dubai back to its favorite destinations
Amidst COVID-19, at a time when people were hesitant to leave their homes, APCO introduced ‘curbside pickup’ across three destinations using an influencer-led digital content campaign to register an 87% increase in sales.

Sumitra is a hospitality graduate driven by a high sense of ownership and an entrepreneurial approach to her work. A communications specialist in the consumer practice, she has an innate sense for influencer engagements and collaborations while her strengths lie in tactical and strategic planning, media relations, marketing led PR campaign ideation and implementation. At APCO, Sumitra currently manages a team of eight and leads the communications team for Meraas. She has also worked with clients and projects in the FMCG and entertainment businesses like DXB Entertainment, Sharjah Media Centre, Dubai Channels Network and Henkel. Sumitra began her career with a leading hotel chain in India, before moving on to explore an entrepreneurial opportunity at 23. Prior to joining APCO in 2014, she gained experience in a dynamic work space working in the family export business.
