Taking it virtual: Remote live streaming

The virtual live streaming industry is booming, and it has become highly sophisticated. High end production values, branded iframes, virtual green rooms, live and interactive Q&As, slick set ups and backgrounds, and pre-registration processes are revolutionising how brands are telling stories to their audiences for external and internal comms. But if you’ve got an event coming up and you’re wanting to take it virtual, what do you need to know and do?

Workshop details

With the pandemic turning the events sector on its head in 2020, the comms industry has had to think differently. Physical events have often not been possible to arrange and the fluid nature of the COVID situation means that planning an event for a launch, announcement or press conference has been subject to change at the last minute – with many events not happening as a result. But one thing that has won big in 2020 is remote live streaming. Just as Zoom and MS Teams calls are now the norm rather than exception, the virtual live streaming industry is booming, and it has become highly sophisticated. Join this session to get a 101 on virtual live streaming and hear of some great examples to maximise the success and impact of your event.

Cheryl King, Managing Director at markettiers MENA

Cheryl is the Managing Director of the region’s only dedicated broadcast consultancy, markettiers MENA. Having helped set up the regional operation of the business back in 2014, Cheryl brings 11 years’ experience working in Public Relations and Broadcast PR in both London and Dubai to the role, which has seen her deliver award-winning projects for the likes of DMCC and IMG Worlds of Adventure.
