George is Senior Associate at The Drill crisis simulator. At The Drill, he has been a part of client projects and simulation exercises in Australia, and spearheaded client initiatives in Asia-Pacific and all the way to the Americas.

He’s formerly CCO at an USA Fortune 300 company, where his remit included issues and crisis response planning, preparation and execution; financial and investor communications, C-suite communications, employee and change comms, brand and marketing comms, and public relations, spanning fifty countries.

George has also consulted to and trained teams in large enterprises, education institutes, healthcare providers, IT & technology firms, and multiple SMEs, in various aspects of brand, crisis and reputation management.

Gerry McCusker, Owner/Creator/Principal Adviser at The Drill Crisis Simulator

Gerry is the author of Public Relations Disasters (Kogan Page), and the Founder and Principal Adviser at The Drill crisis simulator.
With a Master’s degree in Public Relations, university teaching experience in the UK and Australia and frontline firefighting experience of crises and media issues, Gerry has consulted across multiple sectors including agriculture, construction, finance, IT and professional services. He is professionally perfervid about embedding creativity amid considered strategy, and is the key architect of The Drill technology and crisis diagnostic tool.

He has also developed several easy-to-grasp frameworks and models pertaining to best-practice crisis response for clients from Melbourne to Minneapolis and Sydney to Sharjah. He is currently completing his newest business book exploring the concept and challenges for unlovable and unloved brands.
