Special Items
Election of the Board – Tom Ashby
The Board recommends to the membership to elect Margaret Flanagan and Amina Taher to become Board members for the period of one year. Each candidacy will be voted on separately by the membership.
Motion to amend the MEPRA Charter – Tom Ashby
Under Elections to the Board section, the Board proposes to amend the clause that stipulates:
“If for any reason a member of the board is unable to serve for a full year the vacancy will be advised to the members and the Board may fill the vacancy from any candidates that express an interest.”
This will be replaced by a clause that says:
“If for any reason a member of the board is unable to serve for a full term the vacancy will be advised to the members and the Board may fill the vacancy from any candidates that express an interest.”
