Lead Facilitator: Nicole Malick
Nicole Malick is an international social worker recognized for her ability to effectively design and lead programs that address corporate sustainability, gender equality, peace building, and human trafficking. Nicole’s eleven years of international experience, spans the Middle East, Asia, and East Africa with governments, civil society organizations and multi-national companies, most notably USAID and Her Royal Highness Princes Basma’s youth centers. Ms. Malick is a Board Member of Protect The People, a Washington DC based non-profit, that empowers people affected by crisis. Through her current role as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at NRS International, she serves as a Steering Committee Member for UAE UN Global Compact and is a Steering Committee Member for the Roll Back Malaria’s Strategic Communications Partner Committee. Malick is a recipient of two USAID Meritorious Honors Awards, a U.S. Department of State Meritorious Group Award, and received a service medal from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for her work in Afghanistan. She was nominated as an official Mentor for the National Network for Social Work Management for her commitment to international social work.

Wieke De Vries is a seasoned communications professional who started her career with an academic publication about the influence of media on the resignation of football managers. This served as a springboard into various press officers roles in the Dutch premier league. Applying her interconnecting skills at highest international sports podium, she acted as the International Media Liaison Officer of the FIFA World Cup 2010 team in the Western Cape and Cape Town (South Africa). This led to freelance projects in London (Olympic Games 2010), Ukraine (UEFA European Cup 2012) as well as for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2014 she moved to the MENA region. Mrs De Vries currently leads the expert marketing and communications team of NRS International, market leader in refugee tents, relief items and mosquito nets for the humanitarian and public health sector. She has shaped the corporate- and visual identity and has introduced successful and award-winning campaigns, all based on the very same principles of effective storytelling and –sharing. Most communications initiatives stem from the strong corporate social responsibility compass of NRS International.
Sabrina De Palma, MEPRA Academy Director and former Media & Communications Manager for Cricket Australia will present a case study on one of Australia’s most successful CSR partnerships in sport; The Pink Test developed by Cricket Australia and the McGrath Foundation.
Alex Malouf, MEPRA board member and Corporate Communications and Reputation Manager – Arabian Peninsula at Procter & Gamble will present a case study on one of the many successful CSR partnership campaigns developed and implemented by P&G.
Accreditation: MEPRA is currently working with the UK’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) on establishing a partnered Continuous Development Program (CPD). This course will be recognised within the CPD framework and count towards becoming a CIPR and MEPRA Accredited Public Relations Practitioner. The CPD Framework will be launched in Q3 2017.
