Participants will learn what makes a campaign successful, what you need to include in your strategy, tools to use and the magic of measurement through this mini workshop led by multi-award winning Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Group Account Director, Kirsty O’Connor.
Kirsty leads the Sports & Entertainment division at Hill+Knowlton where she has been part of an award wining team for campaigns with Adidas, WWE, Reebok, HSBC Rock the World of Golf and Porsche.
The session will take place at Hill+Knowlton Strategies HQ in Media City Dubai so you will also get an insight to life working at a PR agency!
The session is only open to students or anyone who has graduated in the last 12 months. MEPRA Student Members receive complimentary passes, non-members fee is AED50.

Speaker: Kirsty O’Connor
With ten years’ experience in global communications, Kirsty is responsible for campaign planning and strategic insight for clients across the region. She brings to H+K a specialism in digital PR and social media, with extensive experience in integrated campaign planning for global clients.
Before moving to the UAE, she spent time working in the USA with the Caribbean Premier League, taking T20 cricket to the US market. She was responsible for the creation and implementation of their digital communications and content strategy, which saw 1.5 million social fans gained during the live event.
She previously spent four years with Thomas Cook to communicate their international sports travel packages, working with ten English Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool as well as F1, The Rugby World Cup 2011 and London 2012 to get fans travelling. She also implemented the media relations strategy ‘Back In The Hands Of The Fans’ for Portsmouth FC which saved the football club from liquidation.
Kirsty holds a first class BA Hons in Public Relations from Leeds Beckett University. She’s won several UK CIPR Awards including Best Use of Media Relations and Best Event two years running. Most recently, she directed campaigns which won MEPRA Awards for Best Use of Influencers for Porsche (2017), Best Use of Digital PR and Best Sport & Entertainment Campaign with adidas (2018). This year also saw H+K win Large Agency of the Year.
