The Opportunity

BLJ Worldwide is hiring a PR Senior Account Manager in Qatar. If you are a Doha-based communications professional looking for a new opportunity at a growing

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Senior Account Manager to join our headquarters in Doha and support on exciting new client projects.
You will be a strategic thinker who is confident in planning and leading client PR activities, working with media effectively, writing and creating communications materials and working closely with client and agency teams on a range of programmes and tasks. We are looking for an organised and detail-
oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple demands with composure and accuracy within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

With good knowledge of sector trends and the PR landscape, you will have a strong understanding of how to use this to proactively provide advice to clients based on their objectives/ needs.

Key account management responsibilities include generating creative ideas to use in PR programmes, briefing tasks and providing feedback/support to junior team members, managing theworkflow to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion and to a high standard, writing content and building solid relationships with clients and the media.

This role will also require the individual to assist on new business proposals and manage junior team input; liaise with clients and ensure satisfaction with the company’s services; provide client team support, attend internal meetings and participate in networking events.

Responsibilities

    • Engage and interact with clients on a daily basis.
    • Plan and lead client activities in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner.
    • Maintain and develop contacts with journalists and key stakeholders.
    • Generate creative ideas to use in PR programmes to meet client objectives.
    • Support and lead on narrative development and messaging workshops.
    • Prepare and deliver press material to a high standard, using your excellent knowledge of best practices for press releases, features, etc.
    • Lead event-based programmes with media and other client stakeholders
    • Assist in developing and executing crisis-communication strategies.
    • Run client meetings and follow up on action points as required.
    • Develop and execute crisis communication strategies.
    • Have excellent knowledge in using monitoring and research tools, and be able to analyse findings and provide briefings and recommendations to clients.
    • Hold line management responsibilities for team members

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, international affairs, political science, or a related field
  • Have five to seven years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Gulf region
  • Have strong verbal and written English language skills (proficiency in Arabic is desirable)
  • Be willing to develop your skills proactively through learning and development and share this knowledge with colleagues at all levels
