We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Social Media Account Manager to lead ongoing digital strategy, social media support, execution, and performance reporting across the digital ecosystem for a high-profile government client.

In this role, you will have exposure to:

  1. Digital Strategy Development & Enhancement
  • Review content calendars, ensuring alignment with broader strategic messaging and integrated communications plans.
  • Lead a social media team to align with the overall digital strategy and execution guidelines across various social media channels such as LinkedIn, X and Instagram. Adapt content to suit different channels and formats.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms and campaign touchpoints.
  • Review and suggest updates to the digital playbook to reflect evolving tone, brand guidelines, and platform best practices.
  1. Community Management:
  • Manage teams that monitor community sentiment and engagement across platforms on a 24/7 basis.
  • Ensure community management responses follow established tone, policy, and platform norms.
  • Identify opportunities around key moments, milestones, or cultural events for high-impact storytelling and community engagement.
  1. Campaign Execution & Performance:
  • Lead campaign planning, implementation, and reporting, providing clients with strategic insights and measurable results.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of engaging content across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) in English and Arabic.
  • Analyse campaign performance using analytics tools and dashboards, identifying trends and delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Create detailed monthly and quarterly reports to track campaign effectiveness and demonstrate ROI.
  • Innovative Approaches: Propose and implement new and creative approaches to campaigns to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with influencers and brand advocates to amplify brand presence.
  • Translate client objectives into impactful content strategies and ensure delivery to deadline and brief.
  • Draft clear, strategic briefs in English, incorporating guidance for Arabic content counterparts to ensure seamless dual-language output.
  1. Analytics and Reporting:
  • Use social media analytics tools to track key performance metrics and generate regular and ad hoc reports.
  • Offer actionable performance insights on social media trends, audience behaviour, and competitive analysis to optimise content and strategies.
  • Conduct regular analysis of social media trends and emerging platforms to keep the brand at the forefront of social media innovation.
  • Manage performance analytics, reporting on KPIs and ROI for all campaigns using social media analytics tools.
  1. Social Listening:
  • Stay informed about industry trends and current activities through social listening tools.
  • Identify opportunities for engagement and content creation based on emerging trends and conversations.
  • Monitor for potential PR issues and coordinate with the team to address them proactively.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and lead comprehensive social media strategies for key clients, aligning with their marketing and communication goals.
  • Monitor platform trends and best practices to ensure strategies remain fresh, relevant, and high performing.
  • Provide thought leadership on social media best practices, innovations, and emerging platforms.
  1. Team Management:
  • Ensure team adherence to updated protocols, standards, and digital positioning.
  • Prepare and distribute daily delivery overviews for the team.
  • Ensure clarity on priorities and next steps for all active digital workstreams.
  • Manage the daily activities and performance of the social media team, including mentoring and supporting junior staff.

Core Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management or digital marketing
  • Previous experience within Government sector desirable.
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi or the UAE will be advantageous.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • UAE Driving License is required.
