The Opportunity

The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the Corporate Communication Director in the development of the external and internal communication strategy and internal stakeholder engagement. In addition, this role is responsible for the development and implementation of the internal communication plan under the guidance of the Corporate Communication Director including driving key communication activities, messages, and ensuring their timely and effective dissemination to the relevant EWEC functions.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Corporate Communication Director to develop and update the internal communication strategy and guidelines in line with EWEC’s strategy and objectives and ensuring consistent corporate image and identity
  • Develop and implement the annual internal communication plan for all internal communication activities (including stakeholder management) and covers objectives, tasks and key outcomes and key milestones through the year
  • Support in the development and implementation of EWEC’s corporate brand and identify to ensure consistent internal messages
  • Develop core content around EWEC’s initiatives and ensure this is shared with the wider Communications team, to support execution of activities
  • Coordinate with other directorates to ensure effective implementation of specific internal communication activities
  • Establish relationships with functions and internal stakeholders and manage the relationship and successful outcomes of projects
  • Coordinate with the relevant function to develop content around EWEC’s initiatives and ensure this is shared with the wider Corporate Communications team to support execution of activities
  • Provide advice to the relevant stakeholders on all aspects of communications, helping shape their vision in communicating key messages across the organisation
  • Develop communications on internal initiatives in close coordination with Human Capital’s team members in charge of Learning and Development initiatives to drive employee satisfaction and participation
  • Develop and conduct surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal communication activities
  • Participate in the yearly budgeting for the Corporate Communications Department
  • Develop and implement any ad-hoc communication requirements as needed throughout the year as directed by the Corporate Communications Head
  • Attend assigned meetings and conferences, as required

Standard Responsibilities

    • Implement all relevant department policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
    • Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in business environment, and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts
    • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the department requirements, policies and standards

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Corporate Communications, or related field

Minimum Experience Level

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Corporate Communications focusing on Internal Communications preferably in a:

            • Diverse/multicultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
            • Multi-national company
            • Energy and utility sector

Working Environment

Works in an air-conditioned office (ability to work remotely as required)

Physical Exertion

Minimal: sitting and walking within the office/remote working environment for 100% of working time
