Senior Graphic Designer at EWEC

The Opportunity

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for planning, designing and producing high quality creative graphic design material for EWEC in line with the Corporate Communication Strategy and Plan. This includes publications and other material in order to enhance and maintain EWEC profile. In addition, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing required templates, visuals, logos, and fulfilling other design requirements to support the wider Corporate Communications Team and EWEC in general.

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Utilise latest technology and software to produce creative and innovative graphic design/ artwork to satisfy EWEC requirements particularly to support corporate communications
• Provide expertise and creative input from the inception stage of design through final production, where required coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure initial concepts and ideas are explored and suitable options are selected
• Maintain up to date knowledge and ability to work on publishing, printing and designing techniques in order to maintain and enhance communication effectiveness
• Develop and utilise relevant techniques on wide range of material including photographs, and others to provide image enhancements and others to ensure alignment with EWEC guidelines and corporate identity and brand
• Ensure all EWEC graphic designs activities are in line with approved corporate standards and requirements
• Identify the need for technology and work with the Enterprise Technology to ensure relevant requirements are met to support design activities
• Provide graphic design advice and recommendations for the wider organisation to ensure consistent practices. This includes providing relevant trainings across the organisation to facilitate the use of EWEC design content and templates
• Identify detailed specifications and design guidelines for EWEC publications and other material and ensure consistent use across the organisation
• Manage all design elements of EWEC’s web page which includes
  • • • Designing and placing elements on the web page, such as logos, images, and textual elements
      • Creating mock-ups / wireframes of the web page, transforming these into functional elements
      • Evaluating the credibility of the design and providing solutions for possible issues relating to the production of the design
      • Removing any non-functional links immediately and respond to issues related to site functionality

• Implement and maintain high-quality service engine optimisation policies and incorporate them with content produced for the website
• Ensure accountability for design activities including template, logo and collateral design creation, and coordinate guidelines with relevant third parties
• Assist with internal video and photography production

Standard Responsibilities

• • Implement all relevant department policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in business environment, and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the department requirements, policies and standards

Minimum Education Level

1. A minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in Graphic Design preferably in a:

• Diverse/multicultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
• Multi-national company
• Energy and utility sector

2. Experience in video, photography and social media management preferred

Working Environment

Works in an air-conditioned office (ability to work remotely as required)

Physical Exertion

Minimal: sitting and walking within the office/remote working environment for 100% of working time
