Speaker

Sophie Toh

Starting her career as a PR Week ‘One to Watch’ in London, Sophie set up TOH PR in 2011 based on her previous experience at Brunswick Group and leading luxury lifestyle agency, LUCHFORD APM. At the former, she managed high profile European cultural events and art exhibitions, sponsorships and partnerships, including Art Basel, the Tate Modern and the Venice Biennale.

At the latter, brands included high profile travel and F&B brands including Nespresso, Courvoisier, Starwood Luxury Collection and The Lanesborough. She brings her years of consumer PR experience to the team, growing the company in a dynamic fashion and taking a strategic lead on all accounts.

TOH has evolved into a full-service, award-winning consumer agency, with strong roots with major institutions and global brands. The client portfolio spans a diverse mix of retail, hospitality, tech and transportation.  Sophie is the Managing Director at TOH.

David Willet

Dave is currently Head of Digital at Weber Shandwick UAE. He has more than 9 years combined experience in the marketing and communications industry (6 of those in the UAE), working with clients across a spectrum of different industries including healthcare, FMCG, F&B, automotive and government.

Dave began his career in Cheltenham, UK as part of boutique activation agency dair where he showed a passion for digital production and learnt his trade working on brands including SKY cycling. Eventually Dave made the move to London as one of a handful of young talent to join the competitive Four Communications graduate scheme in their Leicester Square office. During his time at Four Dave helped to secure two of the biggest web builds the agency had ever worked on and was rewarded for his hard work with the offer of a digital & content manager role in the UAE.  After a further year and a half with Four in the capital, Dave made the move to Weber Shandwick to help establish their digital offering.

Initially working with a small team in Abu Dhabi, Dave helped drive the expansion of the agency’s local offering into social, email and web development winning several high profile accounts in the process. For his role in the growth of the department Dave was recognized by the industry as the 2017 MEPRA Outstanding Young Communicator, and was highly commended in the Rising Star category of the PRCA awards the following year. He also featured in Campaign Middle East’s Faces to watch during the same period.

Dave is a keen amateur musician, footballer (up the foxes!) and published short-story author. He studied English and Philosophy at The University of Nottingham graduating (way back) in 2010.
