MEPRA is looking for passionate MEPRA Members in the Middle East region who are committed to leading key initiatives for the communications industry, which focus on promoting standards of excellence.
Nominations are open for two board levels:
The Executive Board
This is the primary decision-making body, consisting of up to nine members: a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and up to five Executive Directors. The Executive Board holds formal monthly meetings, with minutes distributed and kept on record. The number of Executive Directors can be increased via a majority vote of the Executive Board, ratified by a majority vote at the subsequent Strategy Board meeting. Executive Board members are expected to attend up to 12 meetings per year and commit time to sub-committee planning and projects.

The Strategy Board
The Strategy Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Executive Board and does not possess statutory powers. It has an unlimited number of members, who are expected to attend four board meetings annually. Strategy Board members establish sub-committees to support the execution of the Association’s yearly programmes and to provide guidance and assistance to the Executive Board. They do not have voting rights in Executive Board meetings and are expected to allocate time to commit to sub-committee planning and projects.

Please note that a maximum of two members from a large or medium agency and one member from a small agency are permitted to serve on the board simultaneously. Membership on the MEPRA Executive/Strategic Board is precluded for individuals who also hold an Executive/Strategy Board position with a competing organisation.
By committing yourself as a MEPRA board member, you will be working towards an industry collective goal to raise awareness and build understanding of public relations in the Middle East, both as a profession and as a driver of organisational reputation. We do so by promoting industry standards, sharing knowledge and building the capabilities of professionals in the region.

MEPRA Board Nominees will be announced in January with voting and election announcements to take place during the 2026 MEPRA Annual General Meeting (AGM).
