BLJ was engaged by the local organising committee (LOC) with three key goals in <br />mind. Firstly, to gain global recognition for Qatar, a country better known for its <br />desert landscapes, as the host of the first Middle Eastern World Aquatics <br />Championships (WAC). Secondly, increase fan awareness and through it attendance <br />and finally develop a social media campaign that supported the development of the <br />organising committee’s overall digital footprint, while increasing reach and <br />engagement.<br /><br />BLJ’s communications campaign aimed to raise awareness of the six sports on <br />offer and excite fans and athletes to showcase Qatar’s hosting capabilities <br />beyond football. The Championships were also a chance for participating athletes <br />to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics, providing an important hook for <br />international media.
