Senior Account Executive at Taqarabu Hybrid Communications

The Company

THC is an independent hybrid communications consultancy with some of the world’s most recognisable corporate clients amongst its portfolio, drawn from aerospace, defence, gaming and technology. Owned and managed by a highly experienced team, THC (Taqarabu Hybrid Communications), was set up to offer clients a bespoke alternative to mainstream network consultancies. We aim to add value through our understanding of the region and the complex issues that confront it, to help shape meaningful narratives and enable effective engagement. With this in mind, we are constantly looking at ways to build depth in our team to the benefit of our clients. We are now looking to expand our account management teams with additional resources.

The Opportunity

THC is seeking to engage an intelligent individual to work collaboratively with colleagues in its dynamic and fast developing hybrid communications consultancy, based at its Dubai office.

Requirements

Apart from good academic qualifications and a proven track record in communications, the successful candidate will be flexible, committed and keen to succeed in a multicultural environment. Other requirements include:

• An understanding of the media in the context of corporate, government and / or consumer communications – both traditional and digital
• Good creative writing skills
• Fluency in both Arabic and English
• An eagerness to learn and become familiar with the issues effecting the Gulf region
• An ability to project a positive impression on clients and colleagues
• Attention to detail, management of own time and client deadlines

Responsibilities

• Regular contact with clients – verbal, meetings, emails, Teams and Zoom calls etc
• Working collaboratively with colleagues on projects, events and activities
• Creating content for all communications; traditional, digital, collateral
• Editing and checking copy
• Research and investigation, including but not limited to issues, trends, media, people and events
• Media list creation, journalist identification
• Contributing towards plans and proposals
• Preparation of reports, typically drawn from monitoring services, both traditional and digital

Induction & Training

THC will provide ongoing training, both formal and informal. As long-term members of MEPRA, the successful candidate will also be required to participate in at least 2 accredited training modules each year. In addition, mentoring from senior partners and advisors will be provided.
