The Opportunity
Atlantis, The Palm is looking for an experienced writer and communications professional who can deliver dynamic content for PR and Marketing purposes, as well as supporting the operations team with copywriting across F&B, rooms and all-day visitation, for print PR, social media channels, video platforms, online etc.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a concise, innovative content strategy for all channels across the entire resort, working with the PR/Sales & Marketing/Social Media teams.
- Bringing creativity and purpose to case studies, blog posts, promotional materials, web copy, press releases, and white papers, as well as facilitating the creation and implementation of multimedia channels.
- Work in lockstep with key stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing, to create highly relevant content.
- Keeping close contact with the dedicated PR & Social Media agencies, as well as the Marketing/Social Media team to ensure messages and strategies are aligned.
- Continuously identify trends and content topics by staying plugged in to the industry through research and networking.
- Managing and supervising both video and photo shoots, creating appealing content for the resort’s Social Media channels and website.
- Developing clear and inspiring messaging in a variety of contexts.
- Developing press releases, key messages and PR materials, including keeping the press kits current.
- Developing professional understanding and familiarity with product in order to identify and promote key messages and USPs through insightful and impactful content.
- Creating and reviewing of documents to ensure conformity with brand guidelines; to keep the standard language/verbiage consistent through all brand materials.
- Developing video scripts and supervising producers/film crews for video content creation to post on various channels
- Raise Atlantis, The Palm’s profile within media and position the resort positively and proactively across all media.
- Management of the integration of public relations and social media into the existing Sales & Marketing department plan.
- Innovative approach to keep Atlantis, The Palm top of mind and position the resort ahead of the competition.
- Working with internal stakeholders on different initiatives to keep Atlantis, The Palm top of mind and maintain Atlantis, The Palm’s position as the leading entertainment resort destination in the region.
- Understanding key needs of each project through direct interaction with the relevant in-house teams.
- Compile reports for management showing insightful analysis and results (ROI).
- Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the business.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in Communications, PR or Journalism
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent writing skills
- Video editing skills would be a plus
- Experience in F&B will be a plus
- English native speaker
- Experience in handling PR for hotels preferable
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media and Content creation across a variety of channels
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
- Strong project management skills
