This term, Middlesex University welcomes Hani Soubra, former regional director of the BBC to its faculty. He will lecture on the MSc Media Management program.

The MSc in Media Management course focuses on developing understanding of media businesses and the global environment in which they operate. The course offers modules which are delivered across two Schools within the University: Media and Performing Arts, and Information Technology.

“Teaching on the Masters programme is a two-way learning process as I learn from young managers in Advertising, PR, Journalism and Media as much as they might learn from me,” says Hani.

Middlesex is also confirmed as the sponsor of two Young Communicator of the Year Awards (in-house and agency) which will be presented at the annual Middle East PR Awards on November 23. Middlesex has enjoyed the support of MEPRA at its annual Media Career Speed Dating event for three years now with the event attracting enough potential employers to allow the third year Media students to have a one on one conversation with at least 25 Media professionals in one venue and discuss employment opportunities. In turn Middlesex has hosted the MEPRA Summit 2015 and MEPRA Academy.

“Our relationship with Mepra brings great benefits to the students who have the opportunity of hearing about the industry first hand,” says Evelyn Stubbs, Media Programme Coordinator at Middlesex University. “They have been fortunate to welcome guest lectures of great standing from among the Mepra members.”
