AUD Graduate represents UAE at Cannes Lions Festival

Each year, Motivate and Motivate Val Morgan, the Official UAE Representative of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, nominates one student to attend the Roger Hatchuel Academy - part of the Festival. This year, Reem Al Ani from the American University in Dubai (AUD) has been selected to represent the UAE at the prestigious Academy, which will be held during the Cannes Festival in France in June 18-25.


AUD Holds 5th Annual School Sports Challenge ~ Grants St Mary’s Catholic School Dubai Athletics Scholarship

The American University in Dubai (AUD) organized its fifth annual School Sports Challenge (AUD SSC) day held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, and sponsored by Choueiri Group this past weekend. The multisport festival took place on Friday, February 19, 2016, featuring boys’ and girls’ school teams and individual athletes from 23 different high schools across the UAE, who competed in Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Cross Country and Tug of War.

  • Young Emiratis using social media intensely

    Two professors at Zayed University’s College of Communication and Media Sciences in Abu Dhabi have conducted research that finds young adult Emiratis are using social media intensely. Using a survey given to more than 250 university students ages 18 to 32, Buie and Bulla found that 72 percent of the respondents use social media at least 21 hours a week. Continue reading
