One of the most important elements of starting a business is spreading the word. The service offering or product may be good, but if no one hears about it, the business will never succeed.
With the tight budgets that starting a business requires, PR and marketing often suffers from a lack of investment, at a time when it should have the most focus.
Whilst hiring professionals would always be the recommended course of action, sometimes this is not possible, and in these situations entrepreneurs and business owners need to know enough about PR to enable them to initiate the strategy or work with freelance support effectively.
Participation in this course will help you gain skills and knowledge on:
- An effective PR strategy, and the key factors involved
- Devising PR strategies and campaigns to support their business objectives
- Creating a press release and photo call notice
- Setting up basic online brand monitoring
- Identifing ways to monitor, measure and evaluate the PR strategy
- Learning how to brief and manage PR freelancers and agencies
